Andy and Kate walked this fine mountain on the 15th July 2021

Likely one of the finest half days available in all of North Wales!

Cnicht is a majestic mini peak with interest from it's dog tooth profile, the lakes and ponds and the tips, abandoned buildings and inclines found in the vicinity.

Park at the small NT car park in Croesor. Don't think the cafe will be open, despite it being advertised as such we have never found it welcoming. The route is well signed to the summit but beyond there, to the lake and onto the old quarry workings good navigation skills will be needed especially in poor weather. The descent is a slow a gradual and kind to the knees affair that is a delight :)

Take time to explore the abandoned mine workings at the head of the valley and just before the descent.
